FAQs About The Battle Of The Books Competition
1. What are the VSBA (Volunteer State Book Award Nominee) books? They are the special group of books on display nominated by librarians in Tennessee that are of interest to teenagers. They are on display in the Kenwood High Library. What is the Battle of the Books? It is a two part battle: Battle 1: All of the students at KHS who have read 3 VSBA books or more can compete in a school wide quiz. The top 3 that score the highest on the quiz are the winners. This part of the competition is in March. The top scorer from Kenwood will receive their own individual prize (TBA)> Battle 2: The winners from the school battle get to go to the public library and compete against the winners from other high schools in the county. This part of the competition is in April. What will I win? TBA What are the books that we are supposed to read?
